Ofgem’s G98 change sets a household limit and requires notification.
Ofgem approved a G98 modification for qualifying plug-in microgeneration. It limits connection to one plug-in microgenerator per customer installation, effectively one per household.
The product specification also discusses a circuit limit. Another socket or circuit does not remove the household limit.
The change also covers notification and existing generation. If your home already has solar or storage, get the combined installation checked.
