How we research
For rules and safety, we start with legislation, government departments, Ofgem, the Energy Networks Association and Energy Saving Trust. Product details come from the manufacturer wherever possible. A retailer page can show what is for sale, but it cannot prove that a complete system meets every UK requirement.
Our articles may use editorial and AI-assisted research, but the published wording and links are checked before release. General guidance is not a substitute for an electrical inspection, structural assessment or legal advice about your property.
How we check products
We record the exact model, package, AC output, panel rating, mounting, monitoring, warranty, source and date checked. If a detail is missing or only applies to an overseas version, we say so.

- The source describes a European product or plug. It should not be treated as a UK socket-connected system.
A product status does not replace checks on your home, wiring or mounting. We do not publish ratings or hands-on review scores unless we have a clear method and real testing behind them.
